Today we have four meetings to look forward to with jumping action from Taunton and Ludlow and all-weather flat cards from Southwell and Kempton.  The stable has runners at each of the two jumps meetings, not to mention a rare runner on the level tonight at Kempton.  Navanman posted a creditable first start for the stable when finishing runner-up in a bumper at Worcester behind El Namoose - the winner has won twice subsequently and he looks a nice mount for Conor O'Farrell this afternoon.  Tom Scudamore travels to Ludlow for the ride on facile Kempton scorer Stars Over The Sea (pictured above), while Mikey Ennis is aboard Dalgig at Kempton.

The stable had two seconds at Exeter yesterday. Virtuel d'Oudon finished a promising runner-up in the novices' handicap chase and that certainly looks to be his game and there are races to be won with him over the larger obstacles.  Meanwhile Serienschock seemed to enjoy the prevailing testing conditions and can soon get back on the winning trail.

It is the start of the Paddy Power meeting at Cheltenham tomorrow and as you would expect the racing is fiercely competitive.  The six race card carries prize money of at least £20,000 for each race.  The stable has a rich history at the meeting with David landing the big race with Great Endeavour in 2011 and finishing as top trainer at the meeting last year following a fantastic four-timer on the Sunday.  Whenever there is a Cheltenham card taking place I always take a close look at the other meetings to see if any of the top jockeys have any mounts elsewhere - that is normally a fair tip in itself.

Below is the latest in our series of staff interviews.  Legendary broadcaster Mike Vince caught up with David's long suffering serving secretary and she gave us her horse to follow for the season ahead...

I was watching the tennis yesterday and Novak Djokovic looked to be in brilliant formas he beat Wawrinka 6-3, 6-0.  That was as good as I have seen the world number one play and he will take plenty of beating of continuing in this vein.  Meanwhile Andy Murray looks up against it as he takes on Roger Federer - the bet looks to be Federer to win 2-0 at 11/10 with Paddy Power and Boylesports.

There was a fascinating phone-in debate going on last night on the radio.  One of the callers asked how much it had cost to land a robot probe on a comet.  The reply came, "Over £1billion".  The caller then rightly pointed out that we have wars going on, incurable diseases as well as hunger and deprivation - how on earth is a comet going to help with these problems?  He probably has a point.

I see that Tesco have decided to close it's bathroom fitting service...you could say that they have pulled the plug!  Have a nice day.
