     Bengali after winning at Sedgefield

Today there are just two jumps cards at Kempton and Ludlow plus a flat card at Wolverhampton.  I hope Tom Scu finds something to do this afternoon, he rides Navanman in the 12.50pm race at Ludlow and then just Bengali in the 3.55pm race.  He might have time for a nap in between!  Navanman finished fourth on his latest run at Taunton so does have to improve a bit to take a hand in this race while Bengali won a Bumper on her racecourse debut at Sedgefield on good ground but then disappointed at Worcester last time..  A return to form would make her hard to beat.

Dynaste ran well on Saturday in the Betfair chase to finish third behind Silviniaco Conti.  All the other stable runners ran okay in very competitive races, Katkeau, Vieux Lion Rouge, Heath Hunter, Shotavodka and Pleasant Company - I will stick my neck on the line and say they will all win this season! Obistar was our only Sunday runner at Exeter and he also ran well to finish a close second, he also should be winning before long.  I am in a positive mood this morning!

That grumpy old sod Doc Martin (Martin Clunes) was at Exeter to watch the Clydesdale horse race that took place before racing.  He rides out regularly and surely can't be that grumpy!

I watched that car race that Lewis Hamilton won yesterday.  I think its hard to tell who is actually winning the race as they all seem so close and go so quick!  Still no one seems to know how much prize money they get for winning? I do want to say congratulations to Lewis Hamilton though for winning the World Championship for the second time which is a fantastic achievement.

In the football, Liverpool looked terrible and lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace yesterday.  Brendan Rogers must be a bit worried.  They were obviously a one man team last year with Louis Suarez.  I wonder how long they will give the manager to try and turn things around?  Another manager on the edge is Arsene Wenger.  Arsenal hammered Man Utd but still lost 2-1.  I think he signed the wrong type of players.

In the tennis, Roger Federer did manage to play for Switzerland and they won the David Cup beating France 3-1.  How can a country like Switzerland win yet Great Britain can't?

A thief broke into a chemists and stole 3000 cans of deodrant.  The police are on the scent!  That was in Miami.  Have a nice day.
