Knight of Noir runs at Cheltenham

I would like to start by wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2015, I hope you all enjoyed New Year's Eve!  Today we have six meetings, five jumps cards at Cheltenham, Musselburgh, Catterick, Exeter and Fakenham plus a flat card at Southwell.  I am pleased to report all meetings go ahead after no problems.  The temperatures were in fact 12 degrees down here at 6am this morning - quite tropical!  David has three runner at Cheltenham, Our Father, Knight of Noir and Barneby and six at Exeter Our Cheif, Sivron, Skylander, Kalifourchon, Rinnca Fada and Bella.  Knight of Noir was second at Cheltenham on his last start and has gone up five pounds for that run.  He should be a bit sharper for that run and goes on any ground.  He steps up in trip today which looks like it should suit and we are hopeful of a big run.  Three of our runners today are having their first ever run.  They run in the bumpers at Cheltenham and Exeter and it will be interesting to see how they get on.

There was a bit of controversy in Ireland yesterday when winner Sadler's Risk weighed in 4 pounds light at Punchestown.  MCP always used to make me or himself check the jockeys weight at the scales then you can't get it wrong.  It cost the owner 13,000 Euros and it is such a shame as the horse ran such a great race.

I love Hayley Turner's New Years resolution which was to stop dating idiots!  I wonder how she will know?!

I see that Tony Pulis has got a great contract at West Bromich Albion.  £2 million a year plus a million pound bonus every year he keeps them in the Premiership.  He should pick up that bonus every year!  His best signing so far is Frank Lampard until the end of the season.  They need Frank to steady the ship and I think he will do a great job for them.

My bets on the football today are Villa 7/5, Man Utd at evens and West Ham 17/20 and that is a New Year's Day bet.  Have a good day.
