Once again, if you like jump racing you are out of luck - there is no action over the sticks now for the next three days! You also won't be going racing if you live in the south of England (not unless you want to take a trip to the far south east for a Yarmouth fixture, which personally I don't!)...there are four other meetings taking place today at Warwick, Newcastle, Hamilton and Leicester, yet another victory for race planning!

There is plenty of action to keep us entertained today with five meetings taking place at Carlisle, Salisbury, Bath and Kempton as well as a jumps card at Worcester. The stable has three runners over the sticks - Weekend Millionair, Bad Girls and Qulinton. The 5.15pm race sees Qulinton running in a handicap hurdle - the winner of the 2011 Summer Plate handicap chase at Market Rasen from a mark of 135, he looks reasonably treated from a hurdles mark 15lbs lower and is an interesting contender. Weekend Millionair (pictured above), three times a winner over hurdles since joining us at Pond House makes his debut in the novices' chase.

How often do you see a 1/500 chance (with one bookmaker, 1/100 generally) beaten? It happened at Wimbledon in the first round yesterday as 27 year old former world number one, Rafael Nadal was beaten in three straight sets by the Belgian Steve Darcis, the world number 135. Nadal had just won a record eighth French Open a couple of weeks ago, but was clearly struggling with a leg injury here. At that sort of price you would hope that there weren't too many punters who had their fingers burnt.

There are just four flat meetings today at Chepstow, Wolverhampton, Windsor and Thirsk. It was not so good for the stable runners over the weekend where Junior did not want to play at Royal Ascot on Saturday. Jockey Ryan Moore could not get him in front and he was never really going. He is now on his summer holidays. At Worcester yesterday, My Brother Sylvest, returning from a break seemed to jump a bit right and did not appear to get the 2m4f trip. David does not have any runners today but we will have some at Newton Abbot tomorrow evening so check back here tomorrow for more news.

There are three meetings taking place this afternoon - one on the flat at Pontefract and two National Hunt fixtures at Worcester and Hexham. The stable has one runner at Worcester, My Brother Sylvest (pictured above) contests the 2.20pm race - a 2m4f novices' chase where he will be ridden by Tom Scudamore. He definitely has the form to win a race of this nature and while he has proven he handles a bit of cut, he is definitely best on quickish ground so let's hope that the rains stay away.

If you are a follower of jumps racing, I'm afraid you are out of luck. During the last three weekends, the only action we have had to look forward to on a Saturday was one solitary Hexham meeting! This afternoon there is action on the level from Ascot, Ayr, Newmarket, Redcar, Haydock and Lingfield. The stable has one runner this afternoon for the final day of the Royal Ascot meeting, Junior who particpates in the Queen Alexandra over a marathon 2m6f trip. Remember, Junior is a former Royal Ascot winner (pictured above) and there won't be many in the field that see out this trip like he can on a going day...let's hope it is one of those. He won't be wanting for assistance from the saddle either as he is partnered by former champion and Ascot Gold Cup winning jockey Ryan Moore.

It's day four of Royal Ascot this afternoon and that is obviously the highlight of the day, although there is plenty of other quality action taking place at Redcar, Newmarket and Goodwood, while the stable has two runners at the jumps fixture at Market Rasen. My Brother Sylvest takes in a competitive looking handicap chase, while Basil Fawlty runs under a penalty for last week's Worcester success.
