            Name the Footballers!

Today there are just two jumps cards (weather permitting!) at Fontwell and Southwell.  Just look at the number of runners at Fontwell, there are only 37 runners for the 7 race card.  They have a three runner race and a four runner race.  Maybe it is because the ground is waterlogged (they have an 8am inspection) or maybe the trainers do not want these type of races?  Having said that, there are only three runners in the Bumper and they have £13,000 up for grabs.  Mr Mullins runs Up For Review which they tell me is very usefula nd could end up at the Festival next month.

On Friday evening, MCP & myself went up to Stevenage for Jimmy Greaves 75th birthday.  As you can imagine it was packed with Spurs supporters.  See if you can recognise these players from footballing past.  The two in the middle are MCP and myself with the FA Cup!  We had a great night and would like to thank owner Fergus Wilson for inviting us along.

The Racing Post is full of adverts for Cheltenham preview nights leading up to the Festival.  I see that Tom Scu is at the Irish Bar on 5th March and it is free to get in as it is sponsored by Star Sports.  I know David is doing a couple of preview nights including one at Exeter racecourse.  Not long to go to the Festival now.

I see that football fans are having a go at Robbie Savage.  One says he can't understand anything he says!  I think he struggles to actually speak....the fellow comes from Sheffield....I won't say anymore as I will get myself in trouble!  I actually like Savage because he has got more hair than me!

It is Spurs versus West Ham at 12 noon today so I plan to sit down with my big roast nd watch the game!  Come on the Hammers!
