Broadway Buffalo Ran a Cracker
Today we have four meetings, two jumps cards, the big one at Cheltenham and Huntingdon plus flat cards at Kempton and Southwell. Today David runs Kings Palace, Dell'arca, Unanimite and Moon Racer. It is quite funny how in the lead up to Cheltenham you think you have some certinties but on the day when you look at each race and they look so competitive, or is my bottle going?! I had a quick look at the Bumper. There are 24 runners who have won 41 races between them! Our runner, Moon Racer is working well and has the bonus of having won on the Cheltenham track. It is a very competitive race as you would expect. Leading trainer from Day One Mr Mullins just has the seven runners in this race!
John Francome with us at Cheltenham
Broadway Buffalo ran a cracker to finish second to Cause of Causes in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham yesterday. He was only beaten 1 1/2 lengths under a good ride from Katie Walsh and he stayed the 4 miles well. He could run in one of the big Nationals next. My main bet of the day was Faugheen and he looked an absolute machine! He is quick enough to win over 2 miles but stays 3 miles. He could be the Champion hurdle winner for a few years to come. The unlucky runner of the day was Annie Power who of course fell at the last with the race won. The good news was she got up straight away as I hate to see any horse get hurt. Yesterday's action ended Mullins 4 the rest 3!
One of the great jockeys and characters of all time popped into our marquee yesterday, John Francome. On the other end of the scale, Luke Harvey also popped in. I shouldn't have a go at Luke, it was not that bad....thinking about it he was! Only joking Luke, I think you are brilliant!
A woman takes a cross eyed rockweiler to the vets. The vet picks it up to examine it and says I have got to put it down. The woman asks, is it because it is cross eyed?! Hey says no because it is heavy!
I just had a message come through this morning tipping me the Paul Nicholls trained Aux Ptits in the Coral Cup today. Keep smiling and have a nice day!
