Susie Sheep - 2nd at Huntingdon
Today we have four meetings, two jumps cards at Wincanton and Towcester plus flat cards at Chelmsford and Kempton. David had one intended runner, Pilgrims Bay in the Bumper at Towcester but unfortunately he is not running so there are no runners from the yard today. Yesterday the yards horses ran well and all were placed but we just hit the crossbar in terms of a winner! For n Against was a good second, only beaten 3/4 of a length at Exeter and he was five lengths ahead of the third horse. This was another improved effort and he has surely got to be winning soon. Sinndar's man finished third and while he ran okay he was slightly disappointing. Susie Sheep is another who ran better yesterday to finish second at Huntingdon and ought to be winning races before too long. Tom Scu had another winner yesterday and he is creeping closer to the 150 winner mark for the season.
Veteran Racing Post seller Dave Courtman with a topical joke "I had a paper shop bet it blew away"!
How does a horse win a four runner race at 66/1?! Well, that is what happened at Southwell yesterday. The trainer said his mare had benefited from her first run of the season!
It was a good result for England in the football last night to get a draw against Italy. I am still not sure what Hodgson is doing, how could he play Phil Jones in midfield and Theo Walcott is no front man in my opinion. England played much better after swapping things around although to be honest I think both teams are moderate. Portugal lost to the Cape Verde Islands last night. I would not think they would have many professional teams? In fact none of my mates even know where it is!
In golf, Tiger Woods looks set to return to the Masters next week. They normally play at the Arnold Palmer Bay tournament first but Tiger tweeted "missing AP but hoping to return for Masters". So even Tiger Woods is going to miss AP!!
The M6 was shut after three horses ran on it near Birmingham on Monday night, motor-neigh. Have a nice day.
