AP - riding at Taunton today
Today we have three meetings, two jumps cards at Ludlow and Taunton plus a flat card at Wolverhampton.  David has two runners at Taunton, Low Key and Classical Art.  Low Key is a 20/1 chance in the Racing Post and Kieron Edgar is on board.  He has had two runs over hurdles which have been a bit disappointing but he is a winner on the flat.  Classical Art was pulled up last time out at Newbury but this is a big drop in class.  Michael Heard takes a handy seven pounds off and he could run well.  AP is riding at Taunton this afternoon so it is well worth going along to our local track just to see him!

In the jockeys championship battle for second place Richard Johnson pulled one back on Tom Scu yesterday.  He is now only two winners behind on 140.  Tom is concentrating on trying to reach the 150 winners and needs 8 more which fingers crossed should be no problem.  I think whoever did the British jump jockeys championship in the Racing Post must have been celebrating April Fools Day or he has just put it in twice!

I see that it is our former jockey, turned successful bloodstock agent Tom Malone's 33rd birthday today.  He can talk for England, or should I say Ireland!  Tom still lives close to the yard and has recently become a father for the third time - I bet the baby can talk already!  Happy Birthday Tom.

Don't forget if you are looking for something to do tomorrow we have both the Lambourn and Middleham Open Days.  AP will be at Lambourn as will horse favourites Kauto Star and Coneygree.  Trainers will open their yards between 8.30am and 1pm and it is definitely well worth a visit.

Jamie Moore will unfortunately be out for the rest of the season after breaking his leg yesterday at Towcester from a fall on the way to the start.  Is there a harder sport than being a National Hunt jockey?  We would all like to wish him a speedy recovery from all at Pond House.

Raheem Sterling says it is a trophy he wants and not the money which is why he will have to leave Liverpool.  If he joins Chelsea or Man City he will get the money and the trophies!

In the coming Ashes series I think Kevin Pieterson should play - just put him in a different dressing room!
