David's horses continue in good form and Classical Art dead heated to win the 2.50pm race at Taunton yesterday and take the winners total to 113 for the season.  Both jockey's involved thought they had won but obviously the photo finish said otherwise!  I think if he jumped the last cleanly we would have won.  Michael Heard's good run continues and that was his second win in two days and his 10th of the season.  For the first time we have racing on Good Friday, with two flat cards at Lingfield and Musselburgh.  Low Key ran well and and finished third, only two lengths behind the winner, Post Melon.  Lets just hope the handicapper does not take the run too seriously, he could put Low Key on a silly mark. Yard sponsor and owner Wayne Clifford was jumping around the parade ring on the telly at Taunton yesterday after his horse Sporting Boy won.  Wife Sarah had to present the prize to him as Bathwick Tyres sponsored the race.  Well done to them!!

Lingfield have over £1 million in prize money on offer for their all-weather finals day.  I think this prize money would be better spread around the season a bit.  To me, it looks like a lot of the prize money will be going abroad.  Godolphin have four paper favourites.  In the 3.45pm race the sixth horse home will get £2340 so you have only got to beat two home to collect this.  Lots of you will not agree with me but I just think it is a bit top heavy.

It seems that at the moment, probably not surprisingly that every big race horse that AP rides the horse is being backed.  Cantlow has now been cut to 9/1 for the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse on Monday.  Clearly the public want him to have big race winners before he retires.

In boxing, Amir Khan is not going to fight Kell Brook.  He is fighting Chris Algieri on 30th May.  I think Brook would beat Khan who is avoiding him at all costs and it looks like so does the Khan camp!

There is a good football match on Sky at 5.15pm tonight, Ipswich versus Bournemouth.  The Hampshire team are playing out of their skins recently and at 6/4 they will give me some interest after the racing.  I bet my wife will go shopping so I will need them to win to pay off her credit card bill!  As I have already mentioned it looks like Sterling will be off to Chelsea for about £50 million.  It is not money he wants, he wants to win silverware.  Does he think we are stupid, ask the agent!

My only Easter joke - What to you call a rabbit with fleas?  Bugs Bunny!!  Have a nice day.
