New Dawn

Today we have just two meetings, both flat cards at Chelmsford and Wetherby with jumps racing taking a break for a few days.  Yes, I did say a flat card at Wetherby as well!  It is hard to think of the jumps jockey's championship with no AP but we are going to have a new champion next year.  I suppose it would be nice if Richard Johnson won the title even once because he has been runner up to AP so many times.  Having said that, Tom Scu and Sam Twiston-Davies have also had fantastic seasons and will be pushing Dicky all the way.  AP says he is going to be playing golf a bit more.  I have played golf with AP and the way he plays is not very relaxing!  If you are in the Lambourn area you are likely to hear his voice alot shouting out 4!!  I am only joking AP!!

Turning to cricket, I always thought they had the pitches in the West Indies quick for their fast bowlers but the last two have been so slow.  Even I would be frightened to bat on them and I am not the bravest!  Surely soon they must find a livelier wicket so we get a result?!

At 4pm this afternoon we have Arsenal versus Chelsea and that is what you call a local derby.  I wonder if AP will be there cheering the Gunners on?!  The other match is Everton versus Man United so it looks like Sunday is sorted for me!

It is also the London Marathon today.  It is going to be Paula Radcliffe's last ever run in the race.  She says she is fully fit.  I know what it is like when I have not been fully wound up for a marathon!

Ronnie O'Sullivan says his dream job would be a Top Gear presenter...he certainly drives a lot of people mad!
