It is another busy day of racing with six meetings taking place.  Five of them are on the level at Beverley, Catterick, Goodwood, Haydock and Salisbury, while there is a jumps fixture from Ffos Las.  The stable has two runners at the Welsh track this evening with Street Entertainer going in the 7.55pm race and Lady Of Longstone our representative in the 8.30pm.  Street Entertainer (pictured above) carries 12-2 in this trappy handicap hurdle, although Michael Heard takes 7lbs off his back with his very useful claim.  Our eight year old won really well at Perth last time and this faster ground should suit him well.  Lady Of Longstone is partnered by Tom Scudamore and she would have claims in this mares' handicap hurdle if reproducing one of her better efforts.

Ryan Moore has travelled over to the Curragh today to ride Newmarket 2,000 Guineas winner Gleneagles in the Irish equivalent.  With the golf on from Wentworth, it could be a good omen!

What a fantastic run from Katkeau in France yesterday to finish third, beaten only a head and a neck having made most of the running under Tom Scudamore.  Indeed, he rallied bravely and was only caught for second in the last strides.  The winner is a progressive type with a good strike rate so this was undoubtedly a good performance - especially considering he has form over further in this country.  With over £5,000 in the bank for finishing third, you can see why David is making a few more forays abroad.

It is amazing how quickly things can change in the sporting world.  Rory McIlroy missed the cut for the BMW competition at Wentworth yesterday and he looks totally overplayed.  Remember, he has won two tournaments in America during the last fortnight and now he looks completely worn out.  The problem is, he now has to play in the Irish Open on Thursday and not only does he have to play, he is hosting the event as well!  I think his management team need to sit down with him and sort out his schedule.

England need some quick wickets this morning or New Zealand will be building up a big lead.  They are less than 100 runs behind with most of their wickets intact.  An important morning's play lies ahead.

What a Sunday this is going to be for Premier League side Hull.  They have to win at Manchester United and West Ham have to win at Newcastle for them to stay in the top division.  Personally I think that Newcastle will stay up...sorry to any Hull supporters out there.

How on earth can Sepp Blatter still want to be the President of FIFA?  The German is 79 years old and his only challenger for the role is Prince Ali Al-Hussein - let's hope the Prince get in!  I know nothing about him, but he has to be able to bring some new ideas to the table.
