This afternoon there are five meetings taking place with four flat fixtures from Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Chelmsford City and Ripon and a jumps card from Fontwell.  It didn't take the champ A P McCoy long to take to the saddle once again, although he insists that his forthcoming mount in the Legends race at Doncaster's St Leger meeting in September is a one-off.  Former trainer Jack Berry, founder of The House That Jack Built - a rehabilitation unit for jockeys has bullied A P ride in the race.  Apparently A P still rides out regularly so he should be fit enough to do himself justice.  Knowing how competitive he is, he will be wanting to win it and I am sure his appearance will add a lot of people to the turnstiles.

I never thought I would see the day...Fifa President Sepp Blatter has stood down from his position...probably 30 years too late in my opinion.  If he is as good as he thinks he is then surely he should have known what was going on?  Too much money has gone missing for him not to know about it.  It is alleged that £100 million in World Cup bribes has changed hands and it would be no surprise if that were just the tip of the iceberg.  Surely now the World Cup must be voted for again?  Who in their right mind would want to play football in the blazing heat of Qatar?

New Zealand drew the Test series after beating England at Headingley, although our skipper Alistair Cook says that we can beat the Aussies!  He will need to be Captain Marvel if he is going to win the Ashes series!  Mind you, he is back in form although he is our only true world class batsman.  Meanwhile Bell is completely out of form and looks as though he needs to be rested.  The Test match proved profitable for me after Lyth was the next batsman out after play resumed yesterday - I thought that 4/5 was a good bet.

Today's little interest bet comes in the French Open tennis at Roland Garros.  I will be having a sneaky little double on Murray at 1/2 and Djockovic at 2/5.  With the two of them returning just over even money, I reckon that is a knocking bet...you heard it here first!

I wonder what will happen with Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea?  They would be absolutely insane to let him go as he must have saved them 25 goals last season.  I wonder how much they would have to spend to get a striker capable of scoring 25 goals?  I rest my case!

Did you know that the Inuit (Eskimos) use fridges to stop their food from freezing?  That's a cold fact!
