   Border Breaker - Chasing Debut Today

Today there are three meetings, two jumps cards at Hexham and Worcester and a flat card at Pontefract.  David has four runners at Worcester, Vieux Lion Rouge does not run after winning at Market Rasen on Friday.  Border Breaker is having his first run over fences although he is a winning Irish pointer.  Tom Scu rides and after a good second over hurdles last time out hopefully he should run well again.  Flabello is ridden by David Noonan taking off a handy seven pounds.  He is coming back from a break and does have to improve on recent efforts where a similar remark also applies to Kalifourchon who is partnered by Tom Scu.  Vayland completes the Pond House line up in the final valuable handicap hurdle of the day.  He was running a super race when falling at Newbury on his yard debut and things haven't quite gone to plan since.  He has had a little break now and carries a lightweight of 10st 3lb so he could run okay.

I see Richard Hughes in his column in the Racing Post yesterday says he has never seen a 2 year old filly as big as the American Royal Ascot winner Acapulco who he thought looked like a four year old sprinter.  He thought her size gave her at least a stones advantage over everything else in the field which is exactly what my mate at Royal Ascot said to me just before the race.

England's Under 21's footballers play against Sweden in a crunch match at 5pm on BT Sports today.  They lost 1-0 to Portugal on Thursday and this is a must win match.  You can get 5/6 with Corals and Hills.  Surely we will beat the Swede's or are the players not as good as they think they are?!

I see there is money going on Liverpool to win the Premiership at 30/1.  I would not back Liverpool at 100/1!  There is something wrong with the management and are they going to sign any new players?  What money will they get for Sterling?  Arsenal are the best backed team.

When Stan Wavrinka won the French Open Tennis Championships he said if he reached 500,000 followers on Twitter he will give away a pair of his red and white checked shorts!  I just hope I am not the winner!
