Two at Two

    My Brother Sylvest runs at Stratford

There are three meetings, all over the jumps today at Perth, Stratford and Southwell.  David has two runners at Stratford, Purple N Gold and My brother Sylvest plus two runners at Southwell, Sir Frank Morgan and Skylander.  Purple N Gold is very consistent and always runs his race, he has finished third on his last two starts at Aintree and Newton Abbot.  Kieren Edgar rides and gets on well with him taking a handy five pounds off.  He has run well before at the track and although this looks competitive hopefully he should run well again.  My Brother Sylvest runs in a valuable 0-150 handicap chase.  This is again very competitive as you would expect for the prize money on offer.  He does have to bounce back from a disappointing run, but he can be forgiven that as it was his fourth quick race in a row.  He has been freshened up at home since then and hopefully he can return to form with Michael Heard, who gets on well with him, taking seven pounds off.  Tom Scu goes to Southwell to ride our two runners there.  Both look to have chances in again competitive races.

I see that Richard Johnson goes up to Perth and has five rides for Irish trainer Gordon Elliott.  I can see at least two of them winning.

It is of course the Men's tennis final at Wimbledon this afternoon. 4/5 is the best price for Djokovic.  He might just hit the ball too hard for Federer?  It looks like being a great match with most of the crowd supporting Federer.    I will be flicking through the channels on my TV to try and keep up with all the sporting action!  You would not think that football bad guy Joey Barton was a tennis supporter but he has been at Wimbledon this week.  He is now a free agent and maybe he was looking for Wimbledon football club?!  He is now going up to St Andrews next week to watch the Open golf.  I bet he can throw a club a fair way!!  Can you believe it but the Wimbledon pharmacy ran out of toothpaste and brushes for well heeled campers this week.  Can you imagine that happening at Glastonbury?!

Raheem Sterling was spotted at the Liverpool training ground.  It is not a joke it is true!  I bet there must be a strange atmosphere with his team mates.  I am not sure Man City will bid £50 million for him.
