Apologies in advance for a slightly shorter jotting this morning but a few technical difficulties have got in the way- I love computers....not!!  Today we bid farewell to a champion flat jockey who has been brilliant to watch for years. A superb rider exits our sport while still at the top of his game and for that we have to admire him. He has six rides this afternoon on the final day of Glorious Goodwood and while it will be tough fingers crossed he might be able to sign off with one final winner.

I shall be glued to all the sporting action this afternoon but of course there will be no cricket to watch with England having already won the third test!! In what was a fascinating three days England came out on top and it sets the rest of the series up nicely. It is quite funny actually as Barry who works in our laboratory was telling me he had to go searching through his rubbish bins a couple day ago for his betting slip. Barry backed England to win the Ashes but having thrown his ticket away after the last test thankfully he was able to find it again!! Come on England!

There is no jumping action today but there is at Market Rasen on Sunday before we go for a week without jumps action. David does have a couple of flat entries next week, Kie is entered at Salisbury on Tuesday and Race to Glory at Haydock on Thursday. I will keep you updated as to whether they run or not.

Hope you all enjoy watching the last day of Richard Hughes in action. I will be sad to see him go but would like to wish him the best of luck.  Have a nice day
