Nottingham Flat Runner

Today we have four flat cards at Carlisle, Lingfield, Nottingham and Ffos Las.  The good news is that we have jumping back tomorrow at Newton Abbot and David is likely to have some runners so check back here for more news in the morning.  David does have one runner at Nottingham this evening.  He runs in the 1m6f handicap with Mikey Ennis claiming five pounds.  There are only seven runners or else I would say he is a good each way bet!!  I was talking about sellers and claimers yesterday and it was no great suprise that there were no bids or no claims.  If the tracks are going to make any money they need 10 or 12 furlong races which will give the jumps trainers some interest.

Linda Perratt was on the cold list yet yesterday she had a treble at Ayr while also supplying the runner up in two of those races!  She is now onto 14 winners for the season and has passed last seasons total!  Racing stable form changes so quickly and when a yard is in form it pays to follow them. 

Manchester City looked a bit special in the football last night beating West Brom 3-0 away.  They look the best of the title chasers to me and I might have a few quid of Barnes money on them for the title.  Tonight is the start of the Capital One Cup.  To me it looks like another competition that a lot of the big clubs do not want to be in!

        Mag the Man on the Gallops

I saw a horse work on the gallops that is for sale, called Mag the Man.  She is a six year old mare that has just had two runs in Irish point to points finishing fourth and second, only beaten a head last time out.  She is a big chasing type and could run in bumpers and hurdles before going chasing which is what she is made for.  She is for sale at £20,000 which looks cheap for what she has achieved and she will be ready to run soon.  If you are interested please give David a ring in the office on 01884 840715 for more information and an informal chat.

West Ham have signed Joey Barton.  It is so he can show a good example to 16 year old Reece Oxford.
