If you did not know already, tonight is the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards which are being held in Birmingham. Vote AP! It would be fantastic if the great A P McCoy could win the prestigious trophy after all of his achievements and it would be brilliant for the whole of racing as well. I shall be tuning in at 7pm and casting my vote and every one counts as he will have to see off tough competition from darts player Phil 'the Power' Taylor, golfers Graeme McDowell and Lee Westwood and cricketer Graeme Swann amongst others.
Every race at Kempton today is named after AP, what a great idea and there have been several races named after the champ over the last few days as well. The racing papers and racecourses have done everything possible to get AP the BBC award and it is now up to the public to vote. David and Tom Scudamore are attending the awards this evening so let's hope we all get to see AP lifting the trophy and hopefully we may have some inside gossip tomorrow morning!
I see that if you go to Wetherby on Boxing Day you will receive a complimentary glass of mulled wine and a mince pie. I don't know anyone who likes mulled wine but maybe that is why they have to give it away! I also see that Strictly Come Dancing is at Warwick on Sunday 5th February. Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace will present a one hour workshop for which tickets cost £35. I think it is a good Christmas gift and for tickets you have to ring 0844 5793013.
Another big event going on today is the Chelsea versus Manchester United match at 4pm so I don't mind the snow too much today as I will be watching this followed by the Sports personality. Have a good day everyone.
