String Down the Gallops
There are just two meetings today, a flat card at York and a jumps card at Fontwell. David has two runners at Fontwell, Low Key and Fishy Story. Low Key won last time out at Stratford just 10 days ago and carries top weight of 11st 12lb in this handicap hurdle. There is good prize money on offer with just over £6,000. It looks fairly competitive but hopefully he should run well. David also runs a horse called Fishy Story, what a great name! Bred and owned by Nick and Sue Mills our five year old comes from a good jumping family and is having her first ever run on a racecourse. I am interested to see how this one runs...I might be able to tell you a Fishy Story! I have told a few in my lifetime! Tom Scu rides both.
I saw a funny advert in the Racing Post. It said, second hand wax surface available. Does that mean it has been dug up? I don't get the advert at all but I am probably just being thick!
There was a good article in the Racing Post yesterday on AP where he says his golf is improving. He was on Sky in the week playing at a charity event up North. He seems to be hitting the ball a bit longer, must be all the weight he has put on! He is very competitive, just like when he was riding. I am looking forward to seeing him back in the saddle again at Doncaster next week in the Legends race.
Scotland lost 1-0 away to Georgia in the football which was a shock result to me. I thought Scotland would win. Years ago Celtic and Rangers would have been strong enough to play in the Premiership but not anymore. Scottish football seems to have taken a step backwards, sorry Sean!
Seven girls worse nothing but helmets for a bike race in Kentucky. No gear on bikes!
What bet can never be won?! The alphabet!! Have a good day.
