Well, I hope the fat jolly fella with the white beard and red suit came to visit and brought you everything you wanted for Christmas. Sadly I didn't get my Christmas wish as the King George at Kempton tomorrow has already been abandoned, however there is word that the race may yet be rescheduled - let's hope so. This afternoon I will be sat down with a fat bird...no, not that sort - a nice plump turkey!
Even so, the normal routine at a busy yard must continue and a number of staff will be in today to help feed and exercise the horses. As a result of the freezing cold temperatures the snow is yet to melt, and as you can see from the pictures below, it still looks very much like a Christmas card scene around the place.

I understand that Fontwell are quite hopeful for their Sunday card, so let's hope that gets the go-ahead as I fear that we may not have much action for the remainder of the week. Many of the meetings have already been abandoned including Monday's Welsh National fixture at Chepstow...come on Santa - give me some racing for Christmas, I've been a good boy this year - honest!
Thank you for following the stable through the course of the year and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you from the team at Pond House!
