There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action coming from Catterick, Lingfield and Wolverhampton as well as a jumps card from Bangor On Dee.  As David has mentioned in his blog, the stable has no runners during the early part of the week with our first representatives not coming until at least Friday.  That said, there should be some exciting action to look forward to this weekend with the likes of Dynaste and Ballynagour both holding engagements.  If you haven't already seen David's blog this week it is well worth a look, not least because it features my video interview where I give you the low-down on some sure fire winners from the stable...watch it now by clicking here!

They say you should always follow a jockey that goes to a meeting for just one ride as it must be fancied.  I'm not sure how accurate that is, I always thought that it was because their agent couldn't get any more rides!  Even so, stable amateur David Noonan travelled all the way up to Ayr yesterday to ride Love The Leader to victory.  I'm not sure that rule applies to amateurs, but I hope a few of you were on!  Meanwhile our other amateur Tom Greatrex (pictured above) was in double form on the flat at Leicester as he won both divisions of the amateur riders' handicap - he will be on cloud nine this morning.

Talking of Ayr, I see that the police are investigating an arson incident at the track after somebody set the open ditch on fire.  I would be looking for any jockeys that have fallen there over the last few meetings!

It is the Sir Peter O'Sullevan memorial today at St Lukes Church in Chelsea and both Martin and David will be attending.  It is next to the Sydney Arms where they have a Sir Peter O'Sullevan room so I would imagine there will be a few glasses raised to the great man today.

I see that snooker supremo Barry Hearn is winding up Ronnie O'Sullivan by saying that he is bottling his snooker comeback as he is past it!  O'Sullivan is only 39 and you don't have to be that young or fit (ask Bill Werbeniuk) to play.  I wonder if Ronnie will bite?

Good old Wayne Rooney.  I see that Manchester United star is having a testimonial and giving all the money to charity  Mind you, if I was earning £300,000 a week I reckon I could probably afford to be a bit more generous too!  Even so, it is still a good thing to do.  Rooney had to have his head stapled back together at the weekend during Manchester United's clash with Manchester City.  Given how much his hair cost, I am not sure I would want people touching my head!

Meanwhile Everton look like a good price to beat Norwich - they are available to back at 3/4 and I will be doubling them up with Millwall at 5/6.

England lost the second cricket Test match yesterday when they were bowled out with only 6 overs left to play.  Captain Alistair Cook says that the middle order needs to improve after their collapse in the first innings came back to haunt them.  Maybe they just aren't as good as we think - they certainly seemed to crumble easy enough.

Why did the Peeping Tom steal a pug by mistake?  He was trying to take a peke!

Did you know, I used to have a fear of speed bumps?  Don't worry, I am slowly getting over it now!  Have a nice day...
