The stable enjoyed a nice winner yesterday when Bella sprang something of a surprise when popping up at 25/1 in the mares' handicap hurdle. Sadly I did not back her - she only seems to win valuable races, this one being worth £12,346 to the winner. Maybe the break has done her some good? You know what fillies can be like! It is some training performance from David to have won in excess of £37,000 with her this season. Meanwhile, Skylander also performed with credit to finish third although he is still 8lbs above his highest winning mark.
There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with three jumps cards from Wincanton, Market Rasen and Leicester supported by an all-weather flat card from Kempton. The stable has two runners at Wincanton; Spending Time and Gabrial The Great. Spending Time has already won twice this season, including on his chasing debut at Huntingdon last month. He is 8lbs higher in the weights this afternoon but if he is in the same sort of form he should follow-up. Meanwhile Gabrial The Great makes his debut for the stable this afternoon - he has to shoulder top weight of 11-12 for his three successes over timber. Tom Scudamore is aboard the pair, while David Noonan travels to Market Rasen for a couple of rides and Conor O'Farrell goes to Leicester.
The row between trainer Jeremy Noseda and American jockey Kenty Desormeaux seems to be ongoing with the rider saying that the Newmarket handler can "kiss my ass"...clearly that just about sums up the Yank.

How can Gary Neville get the coaching job at Valencia? I know it is only until the end of the season but it is some first job to land! They say that he is keeping the seat warm for Mourinho - it's a funny old game!
There was another sensational result for Liverpool as they beat Southampton 6-1 away. Maybe the manager does make a difference as this team looks barely recognisable from the one that was playing for Brendan Rogers despite their being little change to the players. Liverpool in the top four? I turned my phone off last night to prevent the inevitable influx of calls and texts from my Scouse mates! In fairness to them it has been quite some time since they have had something to celebrate and I am going back to the Beatles era!

Apparently a rematch between Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko is very much on the agenda and it could take place at Wembley. To be honest I think they might struggle to fill Wembley - I just cannot get excited by another match between these two.

Well, it looks as though I was well and truly caught out yesterday with David getting a picture of me "looking after" a full English for someone else! Talk about bad timing...I was down at the yard on Tuesday only for Sue, owner of Houston Dynimo to turn up on Wednesday with armfuls of home baked delights! I had only asked earlier in the week how much flour and pastry £18,000 could buy and now I know the answer! I'm just sorry I missed it...a very big thank you to Sue who spent two very late nights baking these beautiful cakes for our staff - they are very much appreciated.
