This afternoon we have three meetings with jumping from Catterick supported by a couple of all-weather flat cards from Southwell and Kempton. The stable has no runners today after drawing a blank at Ffos Las yesterday. Heath Hunter ran a solid race to finish second and looked as though he would appreciate a slightly longer trip - the winner of that race Clyne looks to be well handicapped from a mark of 115 although he is bound to take a bit of a hike for this. Both Baraka de Thaix and Saint John Henry finished third and should come down a few pounds in the weights.
It is unusual to see Paul Nicholls travel all the way up to Catterick and he looks to have a lively chance with Warriors Tale so long as his jockey doesn't fall off! Sorry, that was a bit harsh...
If you fancy going racing for a month at no cost now is your chance. Throughout January those kind people at Wolverhampton are offering free admission - if you are interested you need to visit www.wolverhapton-racecourse.co.uk for further details. It looks as though there could be more spectators than bookmakers for a change!
I see that former stable jockey and eight-times champion Peter Scudamore was upset to be labelled unstylish by the Racing Post. In fairness to the Post I think Scu must have based his style on Brod Munro-Wilson! I am only joking Scu and certainly nobody could complain about your effectiveness.

It looks as though Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has lost the confidence of his players after they were beaten 2-1 at home to Leicester last night. If you keep having a go at their players they will not give their all for you. It seem ridiculous that Chelsea could end up in a relegation battle and Leicester could be challenging for a place in the top 4. Personally I think that Chelsea will stay up and Leicester will fail to finish in the top four - how is that for a bold prediction?!

Just a few years ago you wouldn't have thought that the darts players would have £1.5million in prize money for the William Hill World Championships. With £300,000 to the winner it is certainly lucrative business these days. If only I were a bit fitter I would consider giving it a go myself!

There was news of an unfortunate incident in York yesterday evening after the management took action against the human cannonball and fired him. They said that his act was over the audiences' heads!
