There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Leicester and Catterick as well as an all-weather flat fixture from Lingfield. The stable has a couple of runners at Leicester; Abracadabra Sivola and Spending Time, while Purple 'N Gold runs on the level at Lingfield and will be partnered by Dougie Costello. Tom Scudamore is aboard our pair of jumpers and I wonder if he will be able to make the opposition disappear on Abracadabra? He has some decent form in the book and could go well with a clear round of jumping, while Spending Time needs to improve on his most recent efforts but David has found a decent opportunity for him.
The Cheltenham Festival will be getting underway in two weeks' time and I see that Willie Mullins is planning on bringing over a team of around 60 horses. The box driver will certainly be get dizzy going backwards and forwards! Last year they had one over that wasn't even entered to race!
One of Martin's former members of staff Owen Burrows has 47 horses to go to war with as he takes over from Barry Hills at Hamdan Al Maktoums Kingswood House Stables in Lambourn...not a bad start for a new trainer and we wish him the very best of luck with his venture.

Just imagine if you made a 600 mile round trip to Brighton and your team was 4-0 down in little over half an hour. That is what happened when Leeds visited last night and you have to feel sorry for the beleaguered supporters. What on earth has happened to a formerly great club?
There are plenty of Premier League matches to look forward to over the next couple of days. Sunderland played well against the mighty Hammers recently and in fairness looked a little unlucky - I will be backing them at 8/5 to take care of Crystal Palace, while I will be doubling them up with Leicester at 4/6 to beat West Brom.
I see that British tennis number one Andy Murray has invested in an ice cream firm. Anna Cornetkova says that it's a cool idea and it certainly isn't like the British Davis Cup team who are wafer thin! I won't waffle cone...I mean on!

Golfer: Should I replace this divot?
Caddy: Why don't you take it home for putting practice!
