Un Temp Pour Tout means 'A Time for Everything' and yesterday was his time. It was great for David and the team to get a winner on Day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival. The roar that went up when Un Temp Pour Tout won the Ultima handicap chase was deafening. Part owners Bryan Drew and son Harry were very emotional and it just highlights how special it is to have a winner at the Olympics of our sport. It was a great ride from Tom Scu and the horse jumped like a stag! The asked Scu when he thought he had the race in the bag, he replied, "when I schooled him last Thursday!". Other co owner Professor Caroline Tisdall was also emotional and it was brilliant for the whole team. Vieux Lion Rouge also ran a cracker to finish sixth in the 4 mile novice chase. He moved into it stylishly 3 out but did not quite come up the hill. It was still as cracking effort and we are pleased with the run.
Today we have four meetings, jumps cards at Cheltenham and Bangor plus flat cards at Kempton and Southwell. The stable has a quiet day with no runners today, I say quiet day it won't be that quiet in our marquee! I get to say a few words on the microphone, so yesterday you had a cockney interviewing a Professor - it does not get any better! There were three winners for the Mullins team. I was impressed with Annie Power in the Champion hurdle, 3 miles, 2 miles it makes no difference! She is some mare. My Mullins contact said his bet of the meeting was Vroom Vroom Mag and when I look at the bets that were placed on her I think everyone else thought that as well!
