Dynaste on the Gallops
Today we of course have day three of the Cheltenham Festival and we also have jumps cards at Hexham and Towcester plus a flat card at Chelsmford. It is a busy day for the stable as David has plenty of runners at the Festival. Previous Festival winners, Dynaste and Ballynagour are in action again as well as Kings Palace, Doctor Harper, Top Wood, Alternatif and Amigo. In the 4.10 Plate, Ballynagour is ridden by David Noonan and Tom Scu rides Kings Palace. Last week I was with AP and he was very keen on the chances of John's Spirit. I see that he is 5/1 favourite and who am I to argue with a Sir?!
Our best chance of a winner could be Doctor Harper in the Kim Muir. I know David has liked this one for a long time and we have good champion amateur in Britain, Will Biddick on board. Top Wood (Katie Walsh) is 20/1, Alternatif (Roger Quinlan) is 25/1 and Amigo (Gina Andrews) is also 25/1. Fingers crossed they will all run well for the yard.
Well Italian owned horse Blacklion won the RSA Novice Chase. Gino Paletta was celebrating in our marquee and it is fantastic for him. He puts us up for the Grand National meeting and I am sure he will still be celebrating when we get to Aintree. It was great to see Sprinter Scare win the Queen Mother Champion Chase again yesterday. A great training performance from the Henderson team to get him back to this level.
The NAP of today looks like Thistlecrack in the World Hurdle. So far he looks the class horse against his 12 rivals but this is Cheltenham!
Those stupid footballers that have made the headlines for there disgusting behaviour at the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday. I won't even name them. Their clubs should ban them or even cancel their contracts. Why does drink make idiots of people?! When I have too many I go to sleep!
Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger thought they would turn over Barcelona, they lost 3-1. I think Wenger might have lost the plot.
The man who invented the zip fastener was today honoured with a life-time peerage. He will be known as the Lord of the Flies! Good luck and have a good day everyone!
