The stable horses continue in good form following another successful weekend. Mr Big Shot was an impressive winner of the bumper at Uttoxeter under Conor O'Farrell on Saturday, scoring by an ever increasing eight lengths and furthermore he looks as though he will be suited by an even longer trip. Meanwhile on Sunday Iniciar won by five lengths at Carlisle - it seems as though the better ground is just what our six year old needed. There were good efforts too from Batavir who finished runner-up at Ffos Las and Eamon An Cnoic who was third in the bumper. The latter is another who looks as though he will appreciate a greater test of stamina, not surprising when you consider that he was previously runner-up in an Irish point-to-point.
This afternoon there are meetings from Taunton, Kelso and Southwell over the sticks and David is represented by My Brother Sylvest in the 2m2f handicap chase at 4.10pm. We are a 6/1 chance according to the Racing Post and while he does need to improve on his most recent efforts to figure, he does at last have much more suitable ground. He will be ridden by conditional jockey Michael Heard.
I see that one of our former jockeys, Paul Leach is celebrating his 62nd birthday today. I saw Paul in our marquee at the Cheltenham Festival and I did remind him how he dropped his stick when winning Martin's first big race, The Triumph Hurdle aboard Baron Blakeney in 1981! Anyway, many happy returns Paul - we hope you have a great day.
Can you believe that Katie Price (aka Jordan) is training to be a professional jockey?! She is another who wants to ride at the Cheltenham Festival where I think she would be a front runner, well she would have to be with her build! The world has obviously gone mad.

It looks as though Manchester City have blown any chance they had of winning the Premier League after they lost at home to Manchester United, who in turn do not look like a very good side. Meanwhile Spurs are having a great season and they beat Bournemouth 3-0 at the weekend and a clear second in the table.

My wife and I were married in a toilet. It was a marriage of convenience!
