The stable was among the winners last night when Dusk Till Dawn was the ready winner of the 3m2f chase. I thought that a pair of blinkers and the better ground helped to bring about some improvement and he was quite impressive in the end, jumping well on the whole. With 13 lengths between the second and third it would be no surprise if David were to run him again quite quickly. Meanwhile, Conor O'Farrell and David Noonan were also among the winners at the meeting, with Conor in particular doing well to score after his mount, Floresco went violently left at the second last causing him to lose an iron and nearly unseating him.
If you have ever considered owning your own racehorse this really is the time of year to be taking it very seriously. The sales come thick and fast and David is heading off to Cheltenham today for the sales which start at 1pm. As usual, they have a nice catalogue of potential stars - David has proven he is a good judge in the sales ring time and again so if you have any interest, do give us a call for a no obligation chat. We also have some very nice horses currently for sale, details of which can be found here.
There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Sandown, Haydock, Chelmsford City and Newcastle and a jumps fixture from Bangor. I see that Willie Mullins brings over smart hurdler and Melbourne Cup placed Max Dynamite for the Group 3 contest at Sandown. He should pick up the £36,000 in prize money, although he is taking no chances with Ryan Moore booked to ride.

Andy Murray survived another cliff hanger yesterday in the French Open to beat Mathias Bourgue in five sets and reach the third round. I have never heard of his opponent - unsurprising when you consider that he has never played a top 50 ranked opponent or a five set match! Murray seems to have a few mental issues at the moment, but at least he is still in there and can only improve.
I see that former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has stated that he is against professional fighters competing at the Olympic games. He says that some of the amateurs will beat the pros, although that is not why I would be against it. As far as I am concerned it should be for amateurs only, although golf and tennis have made it into the games and they are not amateur participants either.
Looking at next season's football (yes, already!) and I would be backing Newcastle to come straight back up into the Premier League. Manager Rafa Benitez knows what he is doing and does not have to sell any of his players...you heard it here first.

Lambert Jeffries once said that "Prison is a guest house with so many amenities that many of it's patrons are quite happy to return". Sadly, I think he hit the nail absolutely on the head.
