Sleepy Sunday

It is a bit of a quieter day after a busy one yesterday and there are just the two meetings, a flat card at Goodwood and a jumps card at Perth.  David does not have any runners but I see Tom Scu goes to Perth for three rides.   I am not sure that I would want to back any of them but best of luck to Tom!  The Goodwood card looks fairy moderate, especially after the Lord Mayor show at Epsom yesterday.  I love the Frankie Dettori headlines, "I love racing so much I would ride for nothing".  Why does he then not give all his riding fees to the Injured Jockeys Fund?!  

There is the opportunity to buy a classic winner, mind you, you will need a lot of money!  The Irish 1000 guineas winner Jet Setting goes under the hammer on the eve of Royal Ascot.  She cost current connections 12,000 guineas, she will now make very much more than that at this sale!

How did FIFA get away with what they did for so many years?  Sepp Blatter and his mates got away with £55 million in five years.  I just can't think that no one noticed all that money missing?!  There should be prison sentences handed out to them, not just bans.  If I even take £1 of my wife's money she knows straight away!  Why has football got so complicated?  That is probably the trouble with England.  They don't now whether to play 4-4-2 or 4-4-3 or the diamond system!  It is not like the old days, when we had attack and defence and we won the World Cup!  Moore was a defender, Peters was midfield and Hurst scored all the goals!  They all came from West Ham as well!!

I will be in front of the telly this afternoon watching Andy Murray play Djokovic in the French Open men's tennis finals.  He is the first British player to reach the finals for 79 years.  The last player to do this was Rabbit Bunny Austin and Fred Perry was the last Brit to actually win the tournament in 1935.  Fred was also a very good table tennis player, not a lot of people know that!
