For N Against - Winner at Fontwell Last Year

Today there are four meetings, flat cards at Salisbury and Lingfield plus two jumps cards at Fontwell and Southwell.  David has runners at both jumps meetings.  At Fontwell we run For N Against and My Brother Sylvest and Tom Scu rides both.  For N Against runs in the 4.00pm 3m1f handicap chase.  This is his first run run back from a break and he is a winner on the track last year.  My Brother Sylvest runs in the following handicap hurdle off a mark of 113.  He is well handicapped on some of his form and he has won off 128 over fences but he is probably not quite as good over the smaller obstacles as he is over fences.  Lady of Longstone runs in the 8.35pm race at Southwell, a handicap hurdle.  She runs off a mark of 131 which is 8 pounds higher than her winning mark.  Michael Heard takes a handy five pounds off which will help but this looks a fairly competitive field despite there only being six runners.

Joseph O'Brien had four winners from seven runners at two meetings in Ireland yesterday on his first day with a licence.  He has made headlines in the Racing Post but I am not surprised!  I don't think a son of Aidan O'Brien would have too much rubbish to train do you?!

Just quickly going back to the Soccer Aid match that AP played in on Sunday evening.  AP only got 12 minutes at Old Trafford and he ended up on the losing side as England beat the Rest of the World side 3-2.  I like the summing up of his performance, "lacks natural talent but tries hard"!  They raised £5.4 million for UNICEF.

Jamie Vardy has signed for Arsenal for £20 million so the papers say.  It is strange the Gunners should sign a 29 year old for that sort of money.  If I was Leicester I would up his wages to the £120,000 a week that Arsenal are supposed to be paying.

How can Pakistan allow match fixer Mohammad Amir to play for their cricket team as it looks like he will make his comeback at Lords in July.  This is the place where the fixing took place, he should have been banned for life alongside team mates Mohammad Asif and captain Salman Bott.  They all went to prison but should never be allowed to play cricket again.

Joe Frazier is so ugly that when he cries the tears turn around and go down the back of his head!  Ali.  Have an nice day.
