Today we have six meetings to look forward to with action on the flat from Redcar, Ayr, Newmarket, Goodwood and of course the fourth day of the Royal meeting from Ascot, while there is also action over the sticks from Market Rasen.  David runs For 'N' Against (pictured above) at Market Rasen in the 4.35pm race and he looks to have a sound chance under stable jockey Tom Scudamore.  He was second at Fontwell last time out and runs from the same mark of 112 which is 3lbs less than he will carry in future handicaps.  A big run is expected otherwise he is going to struggle from his revised mark.

How impressive was Ascot Gold Cup winner Order Of St George yesterday?  He did not get the best of runs but still managed to get Ryan Moore out of trouble to win convincingly.  He is obviously top class and looks as though he has the tactical speed to be just as effective over one and a half miles.  It looks as difficult as always to predict the winners at Ascot today although I have been told that Quiet Reflection will run a big race in the 3.40pm race.

There was a good result for England as they beat Wales 2-1 in their Euro 2016 match, although they will have to improve significantly to go deep into these championships.  It was the closest 4/7 chance I have backed in a good while with the winning goal coming in injury time.  Perhaps Joe Hart should put some of his hair gel on his gloves?  The ball might stick better...it was certainly a terrible goal to let in.  Harry Kane looks to be very tired after his hard season with Spurs, while Sterling just does not look up to International standard and in my opinion is clearly being overpaid.  Vardy and Sturridge must surely start our next match.

Meanwhile, what a good win for Northern Ireland as they beat Ukraine 2-0.  Some of these leagues look very interesting and both Wales and Northern Ireland can still qualify...it is certainly getting exciting.  Today I will be having a little wager on Spain at 4/9 and the Czech Republic at 17/20.

It seems that all of the golf tournaments in America are affected by storms.  The US Open was delayed by six hours yesterday and Jordan Spieth certainly didn't appreciate having to wait as he thew his club away and kicked his bag when an official told him he could not play his bunker shot because of the weather.  These spoiled millionaires do not know they have been born.

I walked into the doctor's surgery the other day.  The first thing he did was remove the swelling from my wallet!  Have a nice day...
