It seems that the place to be on 1st August is Carlisle racecourse. They are hosting a ladies night and for the highlight of the fixture they have booked X Factor winner Alexandra Burke to perform. I keep seeing pictures of her with hardly any clothes on in this week's newspapers - maybe it should be a lad's night instead?! I know quite a few burkes, but not many of them are as talented as Alexandra! I also notice that Carlisle will be holding the first ever race for lady jockeys only. It will be a world first...I won't be able to moan about lady jockey's in that race - they are ruining all my fun!

It still seems like an age away, but there are plenty of flyers and advertisements for Cheltenham Festival accommodation appearing. Fortunately we have use of the helicopter and will be going up and back every day. In fact, we are normally home before most of the cars have left the car park (unless of course Hadden Frost or Johnny Farrelly are behind the wheel).
I have never been so scared as when I travelled in a car with those two. I was with one of our Irish owners as the lads were trying to take sandwiches out of their plastic wrappers, eat them and follow another car at a distance of about five feet, whilst doing a ton on the motorway! The owner said that he would rather walk, so if you see anyone trudging down the hard shoulder of the M5 southbound in March, you know what has happened!
