All Quiet

There are just two meetings today, a flat card at York and a jumps card at Fontwell.  David does not have any runners but both Conor O'Farrell and David Noonan have two rides each at Fontwell.  Having said that, the races they are in look like hard races to pick a winner from!  Matt Chapman is very nervous as he is hoping to receive a call from ITV about forming part of their new racing team.  He has met with them a couple of times recently but said "I have no horsey background and have never been taught or had any TV lessons"!  If I were him I would not keep telling people that, it's bleeding obvious to everyone!  I am only joking, I actually think you do need characters like Matt and I think he would do a good job.

Talking about TV, how come Nick Luck has not got a job?  I think he is brilliant, especially when you think Mick Fitzgerald and Hayley Turner have got positions.  Neither of them set the screen alight for me and Hayley does not ever seem to know what is going on!

I will be glued to the telly at 5pm today.  Big Sam has picked a similar team to the last manager so if they put up a big show it must be down to the manager.  I bet Roy Hodgson is looking on and thinking that is my team!  I would have played more youngsters and tried to set up a team for the future.

There is some strange betting on the West Brom manager Tony Pulis.  He was 9/2 yesterday but was shortened to 7/4 to be the first manager to get the sack this season.  I always think people know when a manager is going to get the boot so it is usually worth following.
