There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with action coming from Kempton, Brighton and Wolverhampton while there is also a jumps card from Worcester.  Time to shame Brighton once again as they offer a miserly £30,000 for their seven race card.  Meanwhile David has four runners at Worcester this afternoon; Red Square Revival, Kalifourchon, Perspicace and Baby Sherlock so it is going to be a busy day.

Red Square Revival makes his racecourse debut in the bumper and he goes nicely at home - we will know more about him after the race and he is entitled to come on for the experience.  Kalifourchon (pictured above) and Perspicace contest the 2 1/2 mile handicap hurdle and are big prices considering they are both winners already this season.  David Noonan takes a handy 3lbs off of Perspicace's back.  Baby Sherlock contests the novices' hurdle at 5.20pm and he is going to need to improve on what he has shown so far to figure - it is going to be a tough day for the yard but we will be doing our best.

It was a good weekend for David and the team as he played host to 250 guests at his Owners' Day on Saturday - it was good to see so many smiling faces and a great fun afternoon.  Then on Sunday we had a number of local business people as guests to look around the yard and visit the gallops - a busy weekend all told, but very enjoyable and the weather was kind too!

Bookie Gary Wiltshire nicked a few quid when they backed Orkneys Sugar Plum from 5/4 into 4/6 to win, wait for it...in the Shetland Pony race!

Kell Brook must have earned a lot of money from taking on Gennady Golovkin.  You should never step up two weights and take on the best pound for pound fighter in the world - it was only ever going to end one way and so it proved with Brook's team pulling him out of the fight in the fifth round after he sustained a broken eye socket.  He would be better off fighting Amir Khan who can't punch very hard... don't tell him I said that!

Jose Mourinho says that he will axe his derby flops after United lost 2-1 to Manchester City at the weekend.  It looks as though he is going to have to get a new team!  The manager is an important part of the jigsaw but he is not that important.  Mourinho is still arrogant enought to think that he is bigger than the club.  Meanwhile, Chelsea should have won against Swansea but only drew - manager Antonio Conte wants the referees to give Diego Costa more protection.  Ironic, when for my money Costa is the dirtiest player in the league.
