Despite just getting touched off at Chepstow yesterday afternoon, I thought that Our Father still put up a creditable performance under his penalty in the novices' hurdle. He is a lovely big, young horse and he still showed plenty of signs of inexperience when just getting touched off by Irish point winner Listen Look, the pair of them well clear. He looks to be an embryonic chaser and certainly remains an exciting prospect for the future.
If you backed Najca de Thaix in the 3.40pm you will be sick as you had no run for your money, the ten year old refusing to take any part. He has already won two races this season, so isn't exactly inexperienced - I wonder why it should happen out of the blue like that? Personally, I think punters should get their money back if a horse refuses to race - if you can't win how can you lose?...if you know what I mean.

I see that Manchester United are being quoted as 9/1 to remain unbeaten throughout the rest of the season. It's not a bet that I would like to strike myself - all I can say is that Sir Alex must be a great manager as this does not look to be a great Man Utd team. That comment will certainly upset Tony Lomas and our head lad Eddie Buckley - at least Tony lives near Manchester, the nearest Eddie has been is Wellington!

Two more pictures from the gallops, this time of Acambo who we nearly lost in the fog (only joking!) and Sure Josie Sure, as well as Lucy's Perfect and Qulinton.
