There's a great picture of David in today's Racing Post. He is looking toward the ground and having a little smile to himself - I reckon he is thinking "I knew that Grands Crus was a good horse!". Anyway the photograph is advertising an interview with David that Peter Thomas conducted at the yard yesterday, the piece will be in the paper tomorrow so don't forget to pick up a copy - in it David talks about his Cheltenham Festival prospects, including the flying grey.

I see that racehorse owner and successful businessman Trevor Hemmings is talking about increases in the Levy today. I still remember Trevor when he was the chairman and owner of Pontins holiday camps, in particular when he challenged me to a game of table tennis during one of my exhibitions at Brean Sands. Trevor wasn't a bad table tennis player by any means, but it was certainly odd to see the owner of a big company playing ping pong! I still see Trevor around occasionally and he still refers to the big match from time to time!

I hope a few of you took my ante-post advice last week and had a bet on Solix for this weekend's Totesport Trophy at Newbury. I advised text tip customers on Saturday to have a little bet and he is now as short as 11/2 favourite. If my man in the know is right, this one could be top class - although he is yet to run in England he is said to have been working out of his skin at home with some of the trainers best horses. Our last four text tips have all won, and we have tipped five winners over the last three days at the rewarding odds of 11/2, 11/4, 5/2, 7/4 & 6/4 - to benefit from this great information simply text PIPE to 84010 (Cost £1.50 per message, to unsubscribe text PIPE STOP to 84010).
