What did we learn from England's 2-1 win over Denmark last night?  I would think not very much at all, most of the club managers would be hoping the players come back injury free.  Scot Parker looked like he was limping a bit at the end - that's just about all the Hammers need, for him to be out especially as they are currently at the bottom of the Premiership and fighting to stay up.  It just seems like such a waste of time as Parker will never be picked for a mainstream England match - I can quite see why so many of these players pick up a slight injury and then pull out of these pointless internationals.

There is a good piece in today's Racing Post about the countdown to Cheltenham and on page 2 there is an article introducing Danny Cook, who of course won the Byrne Group Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last season aboard Great Endeavour.  Danny, an Essex lad who comes from Romford says that he is looking forward to riding Brian Ellison's Bothy in the County Hurdle or Coral Cup.  With sixty nine winners under his belt, Danny has another six winners left before he rides out his 3lbs claim...wouldn't it be nice if one of them was another Cheltenham Festival success.

I see that Knockara Beau won at Carlisle yesterday.  I know it was not exactly the Cleeve Hurdle, but it is another instance of the Grands Crus form being franked by the horses that finished behind him.  Remember Knockara Beau finished second (albeit at the respectful distance of ten lengths) behind our grey at Cheltenham last time.
