There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with jumping action from Lingfield and Southwell as well as an all-weather flat card from Wolverhampton. David does not have and runners today although stable jockey Tom Scudamore travels to Southwell where he has picked up a couple of outside rides while conditional jockey David Noonan goes to Lingfield for one ride - I wish them all the best, although they may do well to find a winner today.
Stay Out Of Court finished third at Plumpton yesterday afternoon on very testing ground. He seemed to keep going after looking well beaten turning for home and he looks as though he will be suited by an even greater test. He should pick up a race from his current mark of 115.
What about the great grandmother who rode a winner at Tampa Bay Downs yesterday at the age of 62? She rode her first winner 40 years ago - I am going to have to tell Tom Scu that he has at least another 12 years of riding left in him!
Talking of jockeys, I see that it is geezer Jamie Moore's 32nd birthday today. Jamie used to work at Pond House and was champion conditional jockey during his stint at the stable. He is a real character and has more of a cockney accent than I do! Many happy returns Jamie.

There are some great football matches to look forward to this evening with Liverpool versus Chelsea, Sunderland verus Tottenham Hotspur and Middlesbro versus West Brom. Chelsea are 2/1 to get a result at Anfield and the way Liverpool are playing at the moment that might be worth a bet doubled with Leicester at 8/5 who take on Burnley. Meanwhile, what an FA Cup draw for non-league Sutton in the last 16 as they get to play Arsenal - I bet they wish it was an away tie as their ground only hold 5,013 people and chairman Bruce Elliott refuses to move the match to a bigger ground.
I am surprised that Nigel Clough does not fancy the job at Nottingham Forest. It would have been an opportunity to follow in the footsteps of his father Brian. Mind you, the owner has already sacked seven managers so it probably wouldn't have been a very long-term proposition!
I love the story about last year's Great Scottish Run Half Marathon - the course was found to be 150 metres short so the pesonal best times set at the event including winner Callum Harkins are now invalid. I bet whoever measured the course is getting some stick - I have heard of a short runner before, but not 150 metres! I don't suppose it is half as funny as I think it is!

I think I must be going dear...I never thought I would hear myself say that. Have a nice day...
