There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Huntingdon and Doncaster, while there are two all-weather flat fixtures from Lingfield and Chelmsford City.  Tom Scudamore travels to Huntingdon for just one ride and that is in the last at 4.30pm aboard David's newcomer in the bumper; Prospera Pascha.  She is having her first ever start on a racecourse today and whatever she does, she will benefit from the experience.  Meanwhile David also has two runners at Doncaster with Gary Charm and Ramses de Teille taking part.  Gary Charm runs in the 1.55pm race, a 3m chase - the drop back in trip should suit and he is not without a chance and amateur rider Rex Dingle takes 7lbs off his back.  Irish point-to-point winner Ramses de Teille runs in the novices' hurdle at 4.05pm - I thought that he had a good chance under conditional jockey David Noonan.

There is a great article in the Racing Post about Ryan Price - a great trainer who landed some fantastic gambles during his career.  I remember he won the Schweppes Gold Trophy with Hill House in 1967 to the boos of the crowd.  Price was so confident that Hill House would win that he booked the party venue at Cissbury a week before the race!  I still remember celebrating with Martin before The Liquidator won at Newbury (that is The Liquidator that he had back in the 80's) -  we even told everyone on the television that he would win!  Those were the days my friend.

Leicester and Derby fielded 18 reserves last night in their FA Cup replay.  The FA Cup is now a complete joke - Leicester have to stay in the Premiership and Derby have to gain promotion and everything else behind that takes secondary importance with the Cup now a second class competition.  Leicester eventually prevailed 3-1 in extra time although I don't suppose there are too many people in Leicester celebrating!

What a terrible scar Welsh rugby player Jake Ball has on the side of his face.  It required eleven stitches and he still intends to play against England in their six nations match.  If it was one of these football diva's, they would be off for a year!

I entered a competition the other day to put sails on boats...unfortunately it was rigged!
