      Ballynagour runs at Uttoxeter
There are three meetings today, all over the sticks at Fontwell, Kelso and Uttoxeter.  David has one runner at Fontwell, Arkadios in the 5.05pm handicap hurdle with Michael Heard on board and three runners at Uttoxeter, Prospera Pascha, Sadlers Gold and Ballynagour with Tom Scu riding all three.  Arkadios has not had a lot of luck in recent times so a clear round would be a good start.  He was in the lead and looked the winner when falling at Newton Abbot on his penultimate start so hopefully we can see a similar level of form this afternoon and he should be competitive.

At Uttoxeter, Propsera Pascha runs in the mares maiden hurdle, 2.05pm over 2m4f.  She has improved with every run so far and was not a bad third at Newton Abbot last time.  She would have to improve on what she has shown so far but this is possible and with cheek pieces replacing a hood she should run okay.  Sadlers Gold runs in the 3.40pm, a 2m4f handicap hurdle.  He has had one run since a long injury lay off and that was disappointing but that was on soft ground.  He definitely prefers a sounder surface so hopefully he will show more of his true running this afternoon.  Ballynagour runs in the 4.15pm, 2m4f handicap chase.  His recent form figures do not look that good but he has been running in some top quality races, including the Grand National last time.  Although age maybe catching up with him a little he always has been a high quality horse and this race represents a significant drop in grade.  Fingers crossed he will be able to show some of his old sparkle and run well.

There is a cracking card at the Curragh today.  Ryan Moore is over there riding for Aidan O'Brien in the first four races.  The big race is at 3.25pm, the Irish 1000 Guineas and Ryan is on board Winter who looks to have a great chance.

When you see the F1 cars coming round the circuit at the Monaco Grand Prix it is hard to believe they can race on such narrow roads and tight bends.  Jenson Button says he loves the circuit.  My wife would end up in the marina, it certainly is a great spectacle for the crowds of people.

I see Andy Murray has got back Ivan Lendl to try to re-capture his old form.  It seems Murray has had some sort of virus he cannot get rid of.  I think Lendl would only have to look at the virus and it would disappear, don't you?!

In the golf it does not seem that Rory McIlroy's rib injury is getting any better.  He has just pulled out of the final US Open warm up event.  He has only played six times this season.

Dim light bulbs or bright light bulbs - watts the difference?!  Have a good day.
