Wedding Fever!

The Royal Wedding seems to have taken the world by storm, or at least every television programme!  At 7o'clock this morning I heard a gentleman talking about the dress and how quickly it would be replicated in the shops.  Am I the only one in this country that isn't really interested?!  Even the Racing Post have got in on the act, listing seven horses for coincidence backers...they have come up with Royal Wedding, Royal Hush, Royal And Ancient, Free Verse, Middleton Dene, Princely Hero and Kates Benefit!

Down here in Brixham they are having a big screen and a party in the park, although at the moment it's a bit windy and cold.  Personally, I will probably watching some form of sport on the television even if it is something like tiddlywinks or table skittles...or maybe I will just go down to the driving range and hit a few golf balls.  I probably shouldn't say that, but I'm afraid that I just can't get as excited as my wife - it must be a women's thing!

On the racing front, it has certainly been a couple of up and down weeks for owner Trevor Hemmings.  First of all he won the Grand National at Aintree with Ballabriggs and then the football club that he owns, Preston North End were relegated from the championship.  It's a funny old game and just goes to show that pretty much any sport can be a great leveller!
