The stable continues in great form and we enjoyed an across the card treble at Wincanton and Fontwell yesterday afternoon. MCP took care of things at Wincanton and young Conor did the steering aboard our winners Businessmoney Judi and Swing Bowler. Conor's claim is now down to just 3lbs but even so, he still looks well worth it (sounds like some sort of hair product!). Businessmoney Judi was providing owner Bob Lefroy with a great birthday present when beating favourite American Ladie in a sprint finish. Swing Bowler won the concluding bumper with her head in her chest and this daughter of Lady Cricket looks to have a big future.

Businessmoney Judi makes it two from two since joining the Pond House team
Over at Fontwell Barney Cool also won the concluding bumper of the day under champion jockey A P McCoy. A P did get dumped at the start - something that was shown a number of times on Attheraces (and probably not something that the champ will be wanting to see), although he did make amends by scoring in good style. He is another well-related horse, being a half brother to prolific winners Mr, Miss and Very Cool. He looked very green and can only improve for the experience.
Barney Cool makes a winning racecourse debut at Fontwell

I see that former jockey turned bloodstock agent, Tom Malone paid £125,000 for a four year old called Captain Kelly at the sales yesterday. Having forked out that sort of money for a horse, I expect that Tom slept in a stable last night...the only problem was that he couldn't find three wise mates!

I was standing in line waiting to use a cash machine yesterday when the old lady in front of me asked if I could help check her balance...so I pushed her over! Keep smiling.
