Can you believe that someone would leave their job without knowing that they have something to go to?...I don't care what Mark Hughes says, I would like to have a wager that he knows where his next job is going to be. For my money it will be Aston Villa or Chelsea, especially as the Chelsea captain has already told Sky Sports that he would like Hughes to be their next manager. Remember the former Welsh international used to play for The Blues and knows all about The Bridge...remember, you heard it here first!

What about the tennis punter that had a £120,000 double on Nadal to beat Murray and Djokovic to beat Federer? His bet came to nothing when former number one Roger Federer progressed to the final. I wonder what it feels like to lose £120,000 on a bet? It's a feeling that I will never know...if I have a grand on a horse, I wear the carpet out through pacing around in circles. The punter was hoping to win enough money to buy a house...it sounds like he will end up in a caravan after that loss.

Following our trip up north to Hexham yesterday, we have three more runners at Perth this afternoon, all belonging to Jo Tracey. It was Jo's birthday yesterday (and as I am a gentelman I do not divulge a lady's age), so hopefully she will be rewarded with a nice birthday winner...many happy returns for yesterday Jo!
