Can you believe that June fast approaches and yet we are still losing meetings to waterlogging?  That is the fate that befell Newton Abbot's meeting this afternoon - it is a great pity for them as they do a great job and will have looked forward to having their first paying spectators at the track since lockdown commenced.  That leaves us with four meetings - a jumps card from Warwick, flat fixtures from Beverley and Hamilton and an all-weather flat meeting from Wolverhampton.  There are no runners from the Pond House team today, although we will be back with runners tomorrow at Worcester.

David Noonan has picked up a couple of outside rides at Warwick today, although they are likely to be big prices, whilst Tom Scu has one ride at the meeting in the concluding bumper and that one could have a squeak.  Tom was among the winners at Bangor yesterday, landing the staying handicap chase from his two rides at the meeting.

Classic Getaway posted a very impressive performance in winning the bumper at Tipperary yesterday afternoon and is already prominent in the market for the 2022 Cheltenham bumper.  Mind you, at a cost of £570,000, you would be hoping to win races of this nature at the very least.  He is obviously a horse of enormous potential, but the price seems ludicrous to me.  I suppose if he wins at the Cheltenham Festival he could be considered value...I will watch his career with interest.

My son kept chewing electrical wires, so I grounded him...
He's doing better currently and conducting himself properly!
