Today there are four flat meetings plus jumps action at Uttoxeter this evening but the stable does not have any runners.  We do have three runners tomorrow, Koi Dodville and Nordic Combined run at Aintree while Ranco is in action down at Newton Abbot.  Please check back here tomorrow for more news.  The flat racing today comes from Newbury, Nottingham, Yarmouth and Haydock while there is also flat racing in Ireland at Leopardstown.  Tom Scu heads to Uttoxeter for one ride but at 100/1 he may not be troubling the judge, although these things do happen!

Yesterday unfortunately Fergus Gillard took a nasty tumble while riding at Fontwell and he is likely to be out of action for a few days.  He suffered a blow to his head after getting unseated at the third last hurdle.  He went for scans at the hospital which thankfully were all clear but a cut required stitches and while he is okay he may just need a few days rest but we are waiting for official confirmation.

Over in Ireland at the moment is the Goffs store sales, part 1 and it seems that prices are very high and youngsters are in high demand.  Yesterday's top lot was a son of Walk In The Park who was knocked down for a hammer price of 220,000 Euros. There was a fierce battle for the gelding who is half brother to Grade 1 winner Monalee and he was bought by Andrew and Gemma Brown who's red and white silks are very familiar on Irish racecourses.  Over the course of the two days, 22 horses sold for at least 100,000 Euros and a massive 130 made 50,000 Euros or more.  Part two of the sale continues today.  When you buy horses like this you are obviously buying the dream but there is a long way to go before they reach even reach the racecourse.  One of them could be a potential superstar and future gold cup winner, who knows!

Two prisoners were waiting to be executed.  "Any last requests?" asked the jailer.  "Yes" replied one of the prisoners, "I love music, so before I die could you play me 'Everything I do' by Bryan Adams?".  And the second prisoner said "Kill me first".  Have a nice day.
