There is some good jumps race action to look forward to this week as well as Glorious Goodwood.  It is the Galway Festival over in Ireland and if you ever get the chance to go I recommend a visit!  David is sending three runners across the Irish sea with Street Entertainer taking part in the Galway hurdle on Thursday and Matuhi and recent Market Rasen winner Qulinton lining up in the Galway Plate on Wednesday. At home there is racing at Uttoxeter tomorrow,  Worcester and Perth on Tuesday, Perth again on Wednesday, Stratford on Thursday and Bangor on Friday.  Keep checking back here and in David's Blog for news of our runners this week.

I love Sir Mark Prescott's wit and wisdom.  He said recently, "I would have been a good school teacher except I didn't like children much which is a drawback!"  I would think Sir Mark would be a great teacher.  Whenever his assistants leave him and go on and train they seem to know everything about training and more importantly they have great manners.  He seems like a hard task manager but you would know everything there is to know about training horses and also what the best cigars are to smoke!

Surely Arsenal have got to sell Nasri.  The French midfielder will not sign a new contract at the club and his going to see out his existing one which just has a year to run.  Then he would be a free agent and can leave the club for nothing.  If I was in charge at Arsenal I would take the £20 million from Manchester City and then they would have some money to spend on some new players.  They seem to have no money spare or surely they would be buying some new players.  It seems to me that the new stadium they built has used up all their money.

One of my betting shop mates says that he hates racing at Bath at the moment.  He was talking about all the sprint card they have had recently.  I tend to agree with him as I am not a fan of the all sprint cards either.  Remember they are having these cards due to the problems they have had with the ground and horses slipping up in the longer races.  Let's just hope they manage to sort it out fairly quickly as I enjoy watching the longer races, maybe I am looking out for a potential hurdler!

I see that Mike Gatting played in a charity cricket match at Newmarket.  The former England cricket captain looked badly in need of a run.  A quick single took about 2 minutes to run!  Have a good day!
