We had a great day yesterday, welcoming the guests of National Racehorse Week to the stables, with over 150 people in attendance.  Our visitors were treated to a tour of the yard and demonstration of horses swimming, galloping and loose schooling as well as a parade of current and former horses, amongst other events.  It is the turn of the David Pipe Racing Club members today and we will look forward to welcoming them.  The visit is just one of the perks of membership to the club.

There are two meetings taking place this afternoon with a jumps card from Plumpton and flat fixture from Hamilton.  We have two runners at Plumpton this afternoon; Borntobealeader and Cadeau d'Or.  Borntobealeader contests the 2m1½f juvenile hurdle at 2.50pm.  He was the winner of a seller on the flat at Goodwood last time out and we purchased him from there.  He has done plenty of schooling, jumps nicely and goes well and he looks to have a good chance under Tom Scudamore.

Cadeau d'Or runs in the 2m4½f handicap hurdle at 4.20pm.  He was not beaten at all far into third at Newton Abbot last time out and this longer trip looks likely to suit.  Each-way chances with Tom Scu in the saddle.

There are two Premiership football matches taking place this afternoon, with Brentford hosting Arsenal and Everton at home to West Ham.  Talking of football, Leicester were beaten 6-2 by Spurs yesterday and it is easy to see why they are bottom of the table with only one point.  It is amazing how a side that won the title so recently, can deteriorate so quickly.  Manager Brendan Rogers looks to be on borrowed time...and so do Leicester in the Premiership.
