Lady Reset runs at Warwick Today!

Today we have three runners across two meetings, one runner at Warwick and two at Newton Abbot.  Lady Reset travels to Warwick this evening to run in the 7.40pm mares handicap hurdle with Jack Tudor on board.  She made a very pleasing come back on the flat at Sandown last week from her winter break to be fourth and that should have put her spot on for this.  She is a previous course winner who has a very good record when contesting mares races.  She does have to carry top weight in this race but it looks a great opportunity for her first run back over hurdles for the year.  She has a great attitude and while it is a competitive little race you can rely on her to run her usual honest race.

We have two runners at Newton Abbot but they are not until a bit later in the afternoon.  Itacare runs in the 4.00pm handicap hurdle over 2m5f and David Noonan rides.  He was a little bit disappointing at Worcester last time but he drops down in grade this afternoon and the handicapper is giving him a chance.  He will like the ground and if he improves from his comeback run hopefully he will not be far away at the each way price of 12/1. Only Fools runs in the concluding race on the card, the novices handicap hurdle over 2m2f at 5.03pm and Philip Armson rides.  I thought she might have run a little better on handicap debut at Huntingdon last time but I thought her jumping put her on the back foot a few times and then she never really got involved in the finish.  She did keep galloping however and Jack Tudor thought she might be worth a try over a slightly longer trip and so today’s distance looks ideal.  We have put the hood back on her to help her settle more in the early stages and hopefully she can take a step forward to her previous efforts and be involved in the finish today.  There are quite a few of our Racing Club members going this afternoon and so hopefully they will all enjoy a good day out.

They also race over jumps at Cartmel today and there is also flat racing at Beverley and Hamilton – a fair bit of racing up North!  In Ireland they have a jumps fixture at Wexford.

Tonight is the Europa league football final between Sevilla and Roma, while in Paris, Djokovic and British tennis player Cameron Norrie take to the court in their second round matches in the French Open.  Last night in the cricket, Somerset beat Kent in the T20 match and remain unbeaten while there are plenty of games being played in that competition this evening as well.

My GPS just told me to turn around.  Now I can’t see where I am driving!  Have a good day!
