Lady Reset Runs at Windsor Today!
Today we have just the one runner on the flat, Lady Reset who runs in the 8.10pm handicap over 1m3f at Windsor and Laura Pearson rides. Our mare ran a cracker on seasonal comeback at Sandown to be fourth but did put in an extremely rare below par effort over hurdles last time at Warwick. She is the outsider of the field tonight because of that run but discount her at your peril. She is in good form at home and I am sure she can bounce back to her usual consistent self today. Laura Pearson gets on well with Lady Reset and even though this race is very competitive I hope she will not be too far away at an each way price.
On Saturday Yggdrasil made a pleasing stable debut to be third at Bangor. He jumped and travelled well in first time blinkers and galloped all the way to the line. He would probably prefer a little more cut in the ground but he handled it okay and I’m sure he can be winning again soon if building on this effort next time.
There is just the one jumps meeting today at Southwell and alongside Windsor they also race on the flat at Lingfield and Pontefract and in Ireland they race over jumps at Roscommon.
In other Sunday racing news, Hollie Doyle won the Italian Oaks in Milan and Gordon Elliott won the Perth Gold Cup, one of three winners on the afternoon for the Irish trainer.
Manchester City completed the historic treble by winning the Champions league final in Istanbul on Saturday. They beat inter Milan 1-0 with Edison making some great late saves to secure the win.
I told my boss I was tired of being a human cannonball. He fired me!! Happy Monday!
