There is no jump race action today and it is a bit quiet for the start of the week but then things really start to get going later in the week.  David has entries at Bangor on Thursday and then there is Fontwell and Hexham on Friday and Fontwell again on Saturday.  There are three meetings next Sunday at Huntingdon, Kelso and Uttoxeter and then things start to get pretty busy from then on.  David also has an entry on the flat at Kempton on Thursday with Frosted Grape in a 2 mile handicap.  Effervesce who was eneterd for Bath tomorrow does not run.

I see that Richard Hughes is going back to India for the winter.  If you give one a bad ride over there your licence could be in jeopardy and when the jockeys are given instruction in the parade rng the stipes listen in if you are on a favourite.  I caould see some of our trainers over here not liking that one very much if the stipes were listening in!  He says if you get beaten on a favourite in India the crowd certainly let you know about it!  I would like to go to India to experience their racing, it would certainly be very interesting.

Kieron Fox got suspended for four days at kempton last week after finsihing second on a horse called Barnet Fair.  He weighed in a pound light abnd this seems a bit of a harsh suspension to me.  It could cost Fox about £800 in riding fees which is a lot of money.  It just seems to me that they give the lesser jockeys mor punishment sometimes, but that is just my view.

BEWARE.  There is a tipping scam going around at the moment.  They are called Racing Post Extra Ltd and Racing Post Racing.  They have got nothing to do with the offical Racing Post and they normally ask for £50 to put on their selection.  Please beware this is a scam so do not give them your £50!

I watched to football the other evening, Liverpool playing against brighton in the Carling Cup.  Craig Bellamy still looks lieka top class striker and looks totally different classs to the £35 million Liverpool spent on Andy Carroll.  I wonder if my mate Aintree Bob wishes his team could get their money back but at least he will be okay at Christmas when everyone wants a Carroll!  Boom boom!!

I have been watching the Solheim Cup which is like the Ryder Cup in golf for the top women golfers.  I don't meam to sound harsh but I have never seen so many bad shots.  These are the Worlds top golfers and they are missing greens with 9 irons and so many balls are going into the ponds.  It is very frustrating watching!  Have a nice day.
