There are meetings today on the all weather at Lingfield, Wolverhampton and at Dundalk in Ireland, and just two jump meetings at Sligo in Ireland, and I can't believe it is that time of the year again with racing starting back at Cheltenham. We haven't got any runners today but we have plenty of runners declared for the weekend. Newbury and Doncaster are abandoned today with inspections this afternoon to see if their meetings can go ahead tomorrow.
Neon Moon was an impressive winner of the Novice Chase yesterday at Ludlow. Here he is pictured with his owners Anne and Garth Broom and Zara who rides him most days. Well done to all his connections, and to Sue who looks after him at home. He did it nicely and it was good for him to get his head in front (by 12 lengths!) after having plenty of placed form in some decent Novice Chases last season. He looks likely to head to Ascot for his next run.
The ground has gone on the soft side for Nibras Gold this year, so after having a good campaign he will go on his winter break. Dindin ran a very uncharacteristic poor race. Although he seems fine this morning will make sure all is well with him at home and get him back to his usual form and he will probably step back up in trip.
England Play Argentina for third and fourth placings in the Rugby World Cup tonight with kick off at 8pm, with the final match between South Africa and New Zealand tomorrow.
My boss texted me "Send me one of your funny jokes" I replied "I'm working at the moment, I will send you one later" He replied "That was fantastic, send me another one". Happy Friday !
